Getting Started & Usage

This page covers how to install Grais, use it inside sites with text boxes, and troubleshoot common issues.

How do I install the Grais extension on a Chromium-based browser?

Availability: The extension is currently invitation only.

Steps

  1. Find your invite — Open the “Access Granted” email from the Grais team.
  2. Open the Web Store link — Click the link in the email to go directly to the Chrome Web Store.
  3. Install — Click the Add to Chrome (or equivalent) button, then Add extension to confirm.
  4. Verify — The Grais icon appears in your browser toolbar. (Optional: pin it for quick access.)

Notes

  • If the Web Store page says the item isn’t available, sign into the Chrome Web Store with the same Google account that received the invite.
  • If you’re using Microsoft Edge, allow extensions from other stores when prompted, then continue the installation.
  • If you haven’t received an invite, please join the waitlist or contact support@grais.ai.
How do I use Grais?

You can launch Grais right inside the chat windows of your browser.

Quick Start

  1. Open a site with a text box (e.g., a chat or comment field).
  2. Launch Grais — Click the Grais icon that appears near the text box (or use the toolbar icon if you don’t see it).
  3. Generate — Open the panel, adjust options if needed, and generate a draft.
  4. Review & insert — Edit if necessary, then insert the response into your message. You stay in control of what’s sent.

Troubleshooting

  • Don’t see the icon? Refresh the page, ensure the extension is enabled on your browser’s extensions page (e.g., chrome://extensions, edge://extensions, brave://extensions, opera://extensions, vivaldi://extensions), and confirm you’re using a supported Chromium desktop browser.
  • Panel won’t open? Toggle the toolbar icon once, or restart your browser.
Can I use Grais on multiple devices?

Yes. Grais is a Chromium-based browser extension, so you can install it on any desktop or laptop running Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, Opera, or Vivaldi.
Sign into the Chrome Web Store with your Google account and install the Grais extension in each supported browser.

You can repeat the installation on as many supported browsers as you like — no extra setup required.

Note: Chromium-based extensions aren’t supported on mobile browsers, so Grais is currently available on desktop only.
