General Information

An overview of what Grais is, where it runs today, and how it differs from a generic AI chat tool.

What is Grais?

Grais is a communication intelligence system that works where your conversations already happen. The live public product is a desktop browser extension for supported Chromium-based browsers.

Grais reads the conversation context you choose to use, drafts replies in your voice, remembers useful relationship context across threads, and helps plan multi-step conversations when one reply is not enough. Grais currently uses paid activation through Grais Pro.

What are the core capabilities?

  • Memory: Keeps useful context across conversations, relationships, and time so every reply does not start from zero.
  • Reasoning: Interprets intent, tone, stakes, and the likely meaning behind a message.
  • Planning: Planner Mode helps map multi-step conversation strategy before you answer.
  • Execution: Drafts replies and supports follow-up workflows while keeping you in control.
  • Tone calibration: Adjusts drafts to your voice, the relationship, and the current situation.
  • Multi-language support: Reads and writes in 30+ languages.

Can I customize the tone and style?

Yes. Grais lets you adjust tone and style settings so drafted replies reflect your voice. It also uses the current conversation and saved context to avoid one-size-fits-all answers.

The goal is not just to make messages shorter or more polished. The goal is to help you answer in a way that fits the relationship, the platform, and the stakes of the conversation.

Does Grais support multiple languages?

Yes. Grais reads and writes in 30+ languages. It can help you reply in a second language without making the message sound stiff or translated, while still letting you review the final wording before sending.

What browsers are supported?

Grais runs as a desktop browser extension on supported Chromium-based browsers: Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and Arc. Firefox and Safari are not supported by the extension today.

The product page also references iOS and Mac as separate rollout surfaces. Those are not mobile browser extension installs; they are native product surfaces intended to work with the desktop experience.

How is Grais different from ChatGPT?

Generic AI chat tools wait for you to paste context and explain the situation. Grais is built around the live conversation surface, relationship memory, tone calibration, and review-before-send workflows.

That means Grais is better suited for repeated communication work: replying to people you already know, handling sensitive tone, keeping context across threads, and planning what to say next without copying the whole conversation into a separate chatbot.

Does Grais send messages automatically?

Only when you configure that level of trust. The normal workflow is review-first: Grais drafts, you inspect the answer, and you decide what gets inserted or sent.

Grais is designed around trust levels per contact or context, so higher-autonomy behavior should be used only where you are comfortable with it. You can keep sensitive conversations on manual review.
